EMPLOYMENT

Industry: Maritime Ship Manufacturing 2007-2010
INDUSTRIAL EVIRONMENT SPECIALIST - ALL AMERICAN MARINE.
All American Marine, located in Fairhaven, produces exclusive catamaran
vessels, yachts, and boats for the tourism industry, passenger ferrying,
Coast Guard, recreation, personal, business, fishing business, and more.
AAM at times, is able to produce several ships concurrently. I was responsible
for keeping the entire facility cleaned and organized. In addition to
this, I was responsible for safety. During my employment, we had only
one injury resulting in loss of work, not due to safety hazards, but
because of a slip and fall. Luckily, our guy recovered well. Part of
my safety responsibilities included barricades, covers, warning tape,
markings, notes, storage of materials, organizing tools, debris removal,
racking, and materials organization. Also, since I worked closely with
every employee in multiple departments, I was told that my attitude
was great and helped with general morale. The folks on the floor were
great and I learned a lot about manufacturing and facilities operations.
Additionally, because these vessels are custom fabricated, I was able
to learn some engineering concepts. I asked the engineers a lot of questions
and continually monitored their progress on projects. I worked closely
with the tool room and helped organize tools as well. Tools included
specialty items and general hand tools and power tools. Furthermore,
we made national news because of a deal with Goldman Saks which brought
some pressures, but we handled ourselves well. Of course, I have federal
security clearances.
Industry: Fishing, Boating, and Marine 2006 - 2007
PROCESSING LINE & SHOP ASSISTANCE - BELLINGHAM BAY.
Worked mostly in fish processing, fish packaging, storage, and boating,
including, but not limited to labor rotations, cleaning, and personnel
support in the Bellingham Bay Area. These positions have been based
mostly on seasonal supply and demand, and mostly through temporary work
agencies or temporary and seasonal work options. I was finally offered
a position with Trident Sea Foods for machine maintenance support, but
elected to work at All American Marine listed above.
Industry: Fishing, Boating, & Marine 8/2004 - 3/2006
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, MARKETING, ADVERTISING - WINKYEYES
KILLER LED LURES. Developed blinking fishing lures as a new product.
Worked with others on branding, marketing, and networking. Developed
all manufacturing methods for the bass, salmon, trout, and game sized
lures. Other tasks included building the website, procuring component
sources, managing finances, corresponding with suppliers and customers,
selling on eBay, filling orders online, and the multitudes of other
managerial and logistical tasks required to operate a new business on
a cash basis during a pilot test viability phase. What was discovered
after showing a small profit in less then a year, is that we would need
financial backing of no less than $100,000.00 to meet potential production
demands.
Industry: Beach Cities Energy Production 8/23/2000 - 10/9/2003
DATA PROCESSING & CUSTOMER SERVICE - SEMPRA ENERGY.
Responsibilities included reading gas and electric meters. Entering
notes into PDA for other readers to follow. Observing meter units for
safety, and reporting conditions to the company for further assessment.
Taking certified tests to maintain high standards of safety and accuracy.
Answering customer questions in the field and directing them to the
appropriate CSR departments for further assistance if needed. After
being attacked by a boxer dog out in the street, some business ventures
were attempted including WinkyEyes.
Government: Beach Support Services 1999 - 2006
BUILDING MAINTENANCE - CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH 11/17/1999-6/30/2001.
A1 SPINELLI 2001-2006. NEWPORT HR (949) 644-3300. Independently maintained
over 21 beach restrooms using a city van. Responsibilities included
keeping stock of supplies, working with city dispatch, taking notes
of poor hardware, correcting problems when feasible, and reporting the
day's activities to the supervisor. Part-time positions were eliminated
citywide in 2001. Continued on as a sub-contractor filling in on weekends
and holidays to relieve regular full-time employees from 2001 through
2006, while working at Sempra Energy and working on WinkyEyes Killer
LED Lures.
Industry: Automotive Management Systems / Services 1996
- 1999
DATA PROCESSING & MANAGEMENT SERVICES - DEALER SPECIALTIES
1996-1999. FRANCHISOR (800) 438-2886. Tasks included independently producing
descriptive vehicle sticker labels on a laptop in the field for used
vehicles. These labels described their condition, options and features,
value, price, and warranty, if any. Responsible for entering all the
above information as well as any certification programs, Kelley Blue
Book, dealer asking price, DMV report history, CarFax history, safety
features, and drafting warranties (if not original factory), while maintaining
accuracy because of the legal nature involved. Successfully and independently
worked with management at over 25 dealerships, tailoring and personalizing
our services to each. After working for the Orange County franchisee
during this time, the Los Angeles region positioned itself for an acquisition
merger. Most of our team was eliminated from employment shortly thereafter,
or had a reduction in pay. EMPLOYMENT HISTORY GAPS

INTERESTS AND HOBBIES BACK
TO TOP
Job Interests - Research & Data Processing, Entry or mid-level IT,
production line assembly is OK - especially production artisan, some
laboratory work, light manufacturing and shop, some office work, R&D,
creative work, finishing and detailing work. Work in manufacturing.
Amateur Interests - Golfing, R/C aircraft building and flying, ultra-light
aircraft, skiing, some product R&D, drawing, desktop publishing,
theoretical sciences. Loved high level programming in college, and I
like the feel, control, and options of PHP, C++, and similar constructs,
as well as the broad and comprehensive capabilities of these languages.
Favorite Courses - Marine Science, C++ Programming, English Composition,
Economics, Physics, and Physics Lab. Fascinated with higher levels of
math, but it can be very frustrating. I passed Calculus with a B grade.
I also generally liked writing reports on most subjects and topics.
Courses I Liked - Mathematics. In addition to passing Calculus in college,
I have picked up Calculus and Trigonometry texts in my leisure time
on a few occasions for personal study. Favorite Television Programming
- Documentaries, Science, Discovery, How It's Made, Build it Bigger,
and National Geographic. Favorite Radio Programming - Alternative radio
and niche radio programming, especially technology programs. Areas of
Improvement - Carpentry. Tool usage. More work with the hands. More
materials handling, building, and fabrication. Chemistry, adhesives,
plastics, paints, and epoxies. Parts fastening, especially chemical
bonding and some hardware. These are some areas that I have improved
on, or am trying to improve on.
PERSONAL & SUMMARY BACK
TO TOP
DOB: 1974
Wage History: Roughly $15-$20 / Varied Benefits
I can read, write, type, draw, work with computers, and add numbers,
and I am good at it. I have been called a braniac (among other things).
I have done some retail product development. I like a lot, so would
probably be good at a lot. I understand most computational theory. I
understand programming logic. I have an understanding of scientific
methodology. I have general knowledge related to life, age, and schooling.
I have business knowledge - schooled and practical. I am no stranger
to physical labor. I have safely been around heavy construction, used
a forklift, scissor lifts, and other equipment as well as some hand
tools. I think that an answer can be found for any production problem.
I am getting much better at using associations for problem solving.
Lastly, I believe that all schooling, labor, and life experiences are
deeply entrenched in the dark cranium recesses, folds, and reservoirs
of the mind, just waiting to be accessed, tapped, tailored, further
developed, refined, and honed. References follow, and I think it is
important to consider a couple of things when contacting these references.
I have not asked their permission nor contacted them. I made a lot of
tuff and critical decisions and displayed inititative. Additionally,
I can provide additional references upon request.
