Hi Folks. WinkyEyes was founded while conducting electrical experiments on another unrelated project in a garage. At the time, I was working graveyard as a janitor along the beaches of Southern California. As the idea of WinkyEyes began to develop, I started noticing just how effective glow sticks were at the piers and elsewhere. I also noticed the disadvantages of glow sticks. Further investigation of fish species and study of their optical sensory perceptions told me WinkyEyes Killer LED Lures would be a winner. Thousands of hours of research and development began starting in a garage with a ten year old laptop (Hitachi), and meeting with dozens of people in electronics, fittings, chemical/mechanical bonding, packaging, sales, marketing, trade shows, computer programmers, federal, state, and local offices, university personnel, process auditors, patent agents, commerce chambers, engineers, import/export agents, consortiums, attorneys and judges, diplomats, the SBA, Fish & Game, SBDC, USPS, Customs, USPTO, and plenty of passionate fishing folk - just to name a few! After all this and many injurious chemical spills, burns, and cuts, WinkyEyes was born! Founding WinkyEyes was no small feat for such an obscure and small product (about 2 inches for the 1st bass lure).
